Ital Drop – PressHead Cider, Wiltshire

Good to the last Ital Drop!

TL;DR – Still, sweet, smooth and juicy

Jack’s Thoughts

This keeved cider, lovingly poured by Bill, initially lures you in with its clear gold-yellow hue and sweet, juicy smell. However, when trying to think of metaphors to describe the cider, one of my first thoughts was that it was like what I’d imagine a diabetics urine sample to taste like. Now, that’s not the most appealing of descriptions, granted, (although going by Dan’s internet history it would probably pique his interest) but that’s just how my mind works.

What I essentially meant by this was that it has a sweet and clean taste to it like what you’d expect from the sterile, sugar-filled elimination of someone lacking insulin…

Okay, I’m not doing this cider any flavours here, especially as I actually really enjoyed it!

So, to describe it in a more serious fashion (or as serious as I can be), this cider reminded me of one of those fancy bottles or cartons of cloudy apple juice you might get from Waitrose – sweet, juicy and smooth with an almost syrupy mouth-feel to it. If I wasn’t in a cider pub I may have even thought it was a juice!

In conclusion to this jumbled mess of ambiguous metaphors and vulgar descriptors: A TASTY, REFRESHING CIDER that’s easy to knock back and has slid itself in amongst my faves!

Cheers,

Jack
